Jabber IM Request Form
If you already have a domain name and hosting plan and would like to order a Jabber account for your domain, then complete this form. Enter the information for all fields of the form, include your email contact, domain name, then click Request or click Reset to clear the form. You can then download and install one of our great full-featured Jabber clients below. You will receive verification of activation of your Jabber account. Each Username must be unique, if all of your choices are already in use, you will be asked to select other choices. NOTE: This Jabber request form is available only for our clients with an active ITonix Web Hosting plan.
Jabber IM Clients
Although there are many Jabber clients available, these featured Jabber IM clients have been tested for stable operation and inter-transport reliability by ITonix. Most Jabber clients are still under development, and are available for almost every computing platform. Review the current list of Jabber IM clients by operating system at Jabber Central. ITonix Jabber servers now support Jabber Directory, Jabber Conferencing, as well as, AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo! messengers.
Gaim Jabber Client
Gaim is the very cool multi-protocol instant messaging client for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. It is compatible with AIM and ICQ (Oscar protocol), MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, and Zephyr networks. Gaim supports many features of networks, such as file transfer (coming soon), away messages, typing notification, and MSN window closing notification. It also goes beyond that and provides many unique features. A few popular features are Buddy Pounces, which give the ability to notify you, send a message, play a sound, or run a program when a specific buddy goes away, signs online, or returns from idle; and plugins, consisting of text replacement, a buddy ticker, extended message notification, iconify on away, and more.
Psi Jabber Client
Psi is the premiere instant messaging application designed for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Built upon an open protocol named Jabber, Psi is a fast and lightweight messaging client that utilises the best in open source technologies. Unlike other IM clients, Psi is small, fast and responsive. It uses a graphical toolkit called Qt, which takes on the appearance of whichever operating system you run it on. For this reason, Psi doesn't use 'skins'. We'd rather it blend with your desktop like any other application. Psi has full support for Unicode. Unicode allows Psi to send and receive messages in other languages, even ones that aren't based upon the English cahracter set. In fact, you are able to use Psi in your choice of eight different languages with more on the way.
